We're excited to announce a significant improvement to how ABS Agency Builder communicates with you. Based on user feedback, we've developed a new Info Bar feature that delivers important messages without disrupting your daily work.
The Problem with Pop-Up Messages
We've heard your feedback loud and clear. Those intrusive start-up messages that popped up and demanded your attention were disruptive to your workflow. While important information needed to be communicated, we recognized that the delivery method was getting in the way of your productivity.
Our goal has always been to help you work more efficiently. That's why we went back to the drawing board to design a better solution.
What's New?
The new Info Bar introduces a non-blocking way to communicate important information. It slides in smoothly at the bottom of the main window, displays briefly, then disappears automatically.
Key Features
Smooth, Non-Intrusive Display
- Slides in at the bottom of the main window
- Displays briefly before disappearing automatically
- Non-blocking so you can continue working
- Hover your mouse over the message if you need more time to read it
This replaces several of those intrusive start-up messages you used to see. The information is still there when you need it, but it no longer demands your immediate attention or blocks your work.
Customizable Audio Notifications
When the Info Bar appears, a subtle sound plays to draw your attention. Sounds can be customized or turned off entirely.
To customize your Info Bar chime:
- Click Tools & Settings > Program Preferences > Personal preferences
- Select Info Bar Chime
- Choose your preferred volume level from loud to quiet, or turn it off completely
- A sample chime will play when you make your selection
Enhanced Pop-Up Message Functionality
Of course, some messages still require your response and can't be relegated to the Info Bar. For these critical notifications, we've made important improvements.
Always Visible and Centered
No More Hidden Messages
Message dialogs now remain visible and centered at all times. This should prevent freezes caused by hidden messages that were waiting for a response you didn't know about.
Emergency Message Recovery
Message Recovery Shortcut
Despite our best efforts, there may still be rare instances where a message gets hidden. Press Ctrl + Shift + F11 to restore any message that might have gotten hidden behind another window.
Help Us Improve Further
We want to get this right. If you see a pop-up message that might be better suited to the Info Bar, feel free to tell us. Remember, messages in the Info Bar cannot require a user response.
The Trade-Off
Keep in mind that Info Bar messages disappear automatically, so there is a chance the message could go unnoticed. It's a trade-off between convenience and assured delivery, and we're committed to finding the right balance.

Getting Started
The Info Bar is available in version 3.30.95.612 of ABS Agency Builder. To start using this feature:
- Ensure you're running the latest software version
- Update from the Downloads page
- Customize your audio preferences if desired
- The Info Bar will automatically appear when there are non-critical messages to display
